About the brewery

Aramasa Brewery is famed as the birthplace of Kyokai Yeast No.6, the oldest yeast strain that still in active commercial use today. Honoring this legacy, every bottle including the No.6, PRIVATE LAB and Colors series, is crafted exclusively using Yeast No.6. All the sakes are also brewed in traditional wooden barrels (kioke) and is Kimoto. Aramasa’s sakes are celebrated for their dynamic and playful character with crisp lactic acidity, hence become notoriously hard to come by.
