About the brewery
Tomono Shuzo is nestled in the mountain-ringed Saku area of Nagano. Long known for its Sawanohana label, the brewery gained new energy when young owner and toji Takayuki Tomono took the helm. Driven by a desire to create joyful, approachable sake, he launched the low-alcohol new-wave brand Beau Michelle. It won the grand prize at the nationally televised Sake-1 Grand Prix right after debut. Beau Michelle features bright white-wine acidity together with gentle sweetness, delivering a crisp, refreshing mouthfeel that has made it especially popular among young female.
