About the brewery

Kamotsuru Shuzo was established in 1873 in Saijo, Hiroshima Prefecture. The brewery is renowned for creating Japan’s very first daiginjo sake in 1958. It uses soft water to craft silky, delicate textures, leading to its status as a frequent gold medalist at the Annual Japan Sake Awards. Its exceptional sakes have been proudly served at the 2008 G8 Summit and during owner Obama’s visit to Japan. A true shining icon of Japanese sake.
