About the brewery
Ooki Daikichi Honten started in 1865 in Fukushima. Its Gakki Masamune was once a local hit, but was discontinued due to business issues. Until 2016, the owner Mr. Ooki decided to revive the brand after an inspiration from Takagi Shuzo of Juyondai. The best-selling Nakadori Honjozo draws guidance from Takagi Shuzo and employs 2.4mg medium-soft water for its craft. It delights with rich fruit aromas, subtle sweetness, and a light, crisp finish that lingers elegantly. This makes it a top pick for meals among fans.
