Brewery Introduction
Nishi Shuzo was founded in 1845 in Kagoshima, and has long been celebrated for its shochu. Current owner Yoichiro Nishi, school junior of Juyondai’s Takagi Akitsuna, received direct guidance from Takagi to brew aromatic sake. In summer 2020, he launched the famous Tenbu series. Like its legendary predecessor, Tenbu offers elegant ginjo aroma, crystal-clear texture and superb balance, quickly becoming one of Kyushu’s most acclaimed sakes.
