About the brewery
Founded in 1615 in Yamagata, Takagi Shuzo produces the legendary "Juyondai." Dated back to the 1990s, a period dominated by light and dry styles, Juyondai defied the trend by introducing rich and fruity sakes, creating the sweet ginjo era. The brewery also invented new rice varieties such as Sake Mirai and Uchu Honare. Juyondai continues to reign at the absolute pinnacle of the sake world for its ultra fruity profile and silky smoothness.
