About the brewery

Established in 1854 in Mie Prefecture, the Kankoubai Brewery boasts a master brewer Mr. Masuda who trained under Mr. Katsuki, owner of Azumaichi. This heritage grants Kankoubai its distinctive style. Relying on strictly selected Yamada Nishiki, every step remains fully handcrafted. Yearly variations in rice quality limit its yields, making this sought-after local gem even more desirable for fans.
