About the brewery
Hokushika Shuzo formed in 1954 after WWII by merging 21 breweries in Akita. Inheriting ancient techniques, it uses premium rice and clear spring water. By adopting the traditional Akita-style kimoto method, it blends local culture and skills from merged breweries. This has made it a sought-after sake brand among enthusiasts.
