About the brewery
Toraya Honten was founded in 1788 in Utsunomiya, Tochigi Prefecture. Its flagship brand Shichisui takes its name from the city’s seven wells, while it uses the 'Rainbow Well' as brewing water. With the spirit of "Challenge & Change", the brewery fully unlocks the rice’s rich umami to create great depth in flavour and clean finish. A multiple award-winner at IWC, Kura Master and the Japan Sake Competition reflect its superiority.
