About the brewery

Yamanashi Meijo was founded in 1750 in Hakushu, Yamanashi Prefecture. Inspired by the allusion of "Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove", it created the brand Shichiken. After five years of repeated experimentation, it successfully applied traditional Champagne bottle-fermentation. Its sparkling sakes, widely praised as the “champagne of sake,” offer refined elegance and remarkable depth that continue to win widespread acclaim.
