About the brewery

Tenryohai Brewery is located in Niigata's Sado Island. Current owner Senichi Kato took over in 2019 and launched the Utashiro brand. Embracing a core ethos of "Persistent challenge without fear of change or failure," Utashiro roots all sakes in Niigata's classic light-dry style. Meanwhile, it adds intriguing tweaks with each brew for more unique expressions. As every batch standing a little different in recipe, Senichi Kato consistently shares his brewing thoughts on the official website blog.
