Takahashi Shuzo resides in Hitoyoshi and Kuma regions in Kumamoto. Famed for rice-based "Kuma Shochu", which boasts geographical indication status and ranks among Japan's four authentic shochus. To promote this heritage, it offers the Kuma Shochu Museum Hakutake Densho-gura for visitors. All Hakutake rice shochus age in tanks, jars, or barrels for about three months post-distillation, yielding richer flavors, smooth texture, and subtle fruit notes.
