「紫砂大曲」是瀘州老窖旗下的高端旗艦產品，其前身「三百年老窖大曲」於1915年參加巴拿馬萬國博覽會，一舉奪得金獎，為中國白酒在國際舞臺上贏得榮譽，自此奠定了其卓越地位。酒廠以1573年始建的古窖為魂，以濃香為韻，窖池中的泥富含微生物群落，形成非常獨特的風味。原酒經窖藏調釀後，盛放於江蘇宜興的紫砂陶瓶中。由於紫砂陶瓶具有大小不一的孔隙網狀結構，令白酒可以於當中「自由呼吸」，因此被稱為「活著的酒」。

「紫砂大曲」以「瀘香」作為精髓，特點是「濃香突出、醇和協調、尾淨餘長」，帶有烤芝麻、發酵大豆與淡淡果香的複合氣息。入口酒體醇厚圓潤，帶堅果、黑巧克力與酸櫻桃的豐富層次，隨後綻放出柔和的甘甜與微妙的辛香。餘韻悠長而帶白胡椒感。她不但適合單飲，更可配搭非常濃郁的料理如東坡肉、潮州菜、順德菜、江浙菜等。此酒於中國全國評酒會多次獲得「中國名酒」稱號，其釀製技藝更於2006年入選首批國家級非物質文化遺產名錄，文化實力雄厚可見一斑。

瀘州老窖被譽為「濃香鼻祖」，其風味特色可概括為「醇香濃郁、入口綿甜、回味悠長」，這些特色可稱為「瀘香」，開創並奠定了濃香型白酒的技藝與標準。自1573年起，瀘州老窖的窖池群開始建立，至今經過幾世紀的連續使用，窖泥富含微生物群落，形成非常獨特的發酵環境。所以它又被譽為「國寶窖池」，成為全國重點文物保護單位，現時品牌價值於全球烈酒更位居第4，可見其深厚的文化底蘊。
