Omoya Shuzo resides on Nagasaki's renowned Iki Island, traditionally famed for barley shochu. The island once produced sake, which inspired the brewery to revive this heritage with determination. In 2018, Omoya established Yokoyama Kura dedicated to sake brewing. It maintains yeast below 5 degrees while favoring local Yamada Nishiki and premium Gin no Sato rice. Yokoyama's exceptional sake quality has earned it a rank in SAKETIME Japan top 20.
