此酒採用酒米之皇「山田錦」釀造，精米步合為麴米40%及掛米50%。另外，此酒以「生詰」手法釀造，意思是酒造僅在儲藏前對清酒進行一次火入步驟，而在裝瓶之前不進行火入，令到酒質如生酒般清爽。此酒有著華麗的果香，是一支香氣接近葡萄酒的清酒，入口時會感受到少許酸度，而其甘甜的味道與米的氣息有著十分好的平衡，與新鮮的魚類食材、刺身等等都非常配合。

福島縣人氣銘柄「飛露喜」是曾一度險些結業的「廣木酒造本店株式會社」旗下出品。作品以甘、酸、旨三味平衡為業界所認識，取名「飛露喜」有「讓喜悅飛揚的甘露」的喻意。由1999年面世開始，不單止曾成為日本德仁天皇即位首相晚宴使用酒，銘柄推出的作品更加一直為世人所追捧，名副其實是受世界所關注的銘柄之一。
