「白州12年單一麥芽威士忌」自Suntory於1994年首次推出以來，憑藉清新、果香濃郁的風味與獨特的森林氣息，成為日本威士忌的代表作之一。白州蒸餾廠以直火加熱的壺式蒸餾器製作，萃取最多果香與乳脂感，然後分別貯存於美國白橡木桶、歐洲雪莉桶與小量日本水楢桶，熟成至少12年。而蒸餾所位於海拔約700公尺的森林中，溫差大且空氣清新，促進了酒液與橡木桶的深度交互，賦予酒體清新與層次豐富的風味。

白州蒸餾所於1973年Suntory威士忌50週年時，建立於山梨縣北杜市白州町，座落於駒岳的森林中，以其清新而果香濃郁的威士忌風味聞名，被譽為「森林的蒸餾所」。值得一提的是，白州罕有地採用直火加熱的壺式蒸餾器，而直火蒸餾能夠萃取濃郁的果香與乳脂風味，提升酒液的複雜度，因此令白州的威士忌風味果香馥郁，更於2012、2016及2017年世界威士忌大賽WWA勇奪「最佳日本單一麥芽威士忌」，成為收藏家與愛好者的追捧對象。
