REGULUS是獅子座最明亮的恆星，也是天空中25顆最亮的恆星之一，寓意此酒如同REGULUS般閃耀突出。「阿部 REGULUS」專為20-30歲的女性及初心者而設，為了打破傳統日本酒的刻板印象，特地以白麴仕込，並且只有12％酒精度，酒標採用柏崎當地稻田的照片，隨季節變化展現不同風貌，傳遞「飲酒即體驗柏崎風土」的理念。

此酒入口帶有檸檬、柑橘、青蘋果等明亮甘酸的果香，然後帶點麝香葡萄的爽甜，以及一點點花香和蜂蜜的氣息，收結則帶點西柚般的礦物感。雖然酸度高達4.0，但酸味卻不會尖銳得刺激舌頭，12％的酒體非常輕快卻富有層次感，令人忍不住續杯。酒藏建議以5-15度冷飲，可作為餐前酒享用，而酒標也標明「新派食中酒」，非常適合配搭生蠔、刺身、白肉料理、水果類甜品享用，非常百搭，大家不要錯過！

創業於1804年的「阿部酒造」位於新潟縣，以「享受發酵的樂趣」、釀造「具壓倒性的美味」的清酒為目標。六代目社長「阿部裕太」繼承之後，設立了一邊考慮品飲場景一邊釀造的手法，以「食前、食中、食後」為前提，務求能釀製出最適合「當時當刻」飲用的究極清酒，此做法不單新穎，更令旗下銘柄「あべ(阿部)」成為了縣內SAKETIME排名的第一位。
