赤武的現任藏主古館龍之介曾表示：「希望打造能夠反映日本精神的清酒。」所以就有了「極上之斬」的誕生，憑著酒標上標誌性的紅色頭盔武士，以及俐落的斬擊動作，寄意一絲不苟的傳統武士道精神。為了營造俐落的感覺，酒藏特意以極低溫度緩慢發酵，更於-1度冰溫才作搾取，令酒體保持極致纖細順滑，絕對是酒藏渾身仕上的一款作品！

開瓶時香氣尚不太清晰地表達，但靜置5分鐘後，香氣便綻放爆發，令人陶醉。入口散發濃郁的蘋果、水晶梨及杏桃的熟果氣息，酒體極致的順滑綿密，伴隨柔和的米旨感，收結輕快，餘韻如武士刀般俐落乾淨。適合10-15度以葡萄酒杯品飲，配合刺身、白身魚及貝類等輕盈的食材最適合。
