Brewery Introduction

Kuribayashi Shuzoten was founded in 1874 in Misato, Akita, and is renowned for Harukasumi. The brewery uses the locally grown Misato Nishiki rice, a variety native to the area, for 80% of its production. Owner and toji Naoaki Kuribayashi is a member of the prestigious NEXT 5 group and currently as chairperson of "Akita’s Sake Brewing Technology Committee". Harukasumi has been a regular gold medalist at the Annual Japan Sake Awards since 1985. Its delicate fruit aroma and crisp, refreshing finish make it a sake that never tires the palate. A true favourite among enthusiasts.
