Brewery Introduction

Yamamoto Brewery was founded in 1901 in Akita, using pure spring water from the UNESCO World Heritage Shirakami Mountains. Owner Tomofumi Yamamoto returned from the United States at age 32 to begin his brewing career, and is a member of the prestigious NEXT FIVE group. Convinced that sake should bring joy as much as quality, he created the Yamamoto series with five local rice varieties and five different yeasts, each named by colour. They pair beautifully with all kinds of dishes with light and gently acidic characters.
