Brewery Introduction

Yamasan Shuzo is located in Ueda, Nagano Prefecture. It once paused sake production in 2015 and resumed brewing in 2023. Carrying the historic family crest "Six Coins of Sanada", it uses the brewery name "Yamasan". Rice is sourced from the nearby Yaehara region, blessed with clay-rich soil, perfectly balanced sunlight, and pure snowmelt water. These ideal conditions yield fragrant, delicately refined sakes that drinkers never tire of. Yamasan has become so popular that several sake shops in Japan have introduced purchase limits.
