After a major earthquake over a century ago, the brewery adopted the Daruma doll as its symbol of resilience, led to the born of its flagship Daruma Masamune. Since the 1960s it has specialised in aged sake by maturing every batch at room temperature , with the oldest up to 53 years. Skilfully blending different vintages, Daruma Masamune delivers rich yet mellow sakes with gentle umami that are highly prized by aged-sake enthusiasts.
