來自新潟的越乃雪椿酒造在釀造此酒時選用了著名清酒米 - 山田錦，精米步合達40%，是酒造在雪中費時費力釀造的限量版清酒。酒造將其命名月之玉響，是因為它有著華麗的香氣，味道清新帶辛口，恰如其名希望下在一個優雅時刻，品嚐像月亮般神秘而強大的清酒。

另外，此清酒是原酒，亦即是指於壓榨後裝瓶前未經加水稀釋過的清酒。因較少人為加工，所以口感會比起普通清酒厚身、味道亦會比加過水的清酒濃郁。
