Brewery Introduction
Ryozeki Shuzo is located in Yuzawa in southern Akita from 1874. Its Hanamura series are directly guided by the owner of Takagi Shuzo of Juyondai. Influenced from rice varietals, brewing methods to even label designs, sake lovers call Hanamura "the little Juyondai". Besides centuries of brewing skill, the brewery building itself became Akita’s first official tangible cultural property. It also earned the first superior award east of Kyoto at the Annual Japan Sake Awards, earning great pride in the local community.
